About La Estrella Bakery

Located at 510 N Mt Vernon Ave, Colton, CA 92324, La Estrella Bakery operates as a bakery serving Colton in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 5 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (909) 825-8231. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

It has been a while since I’ve been to this bakery after being disappointed many times. I decided to give this place one more try, I went this week, and to my surprise, there was fresh, warm bread on the racks. I also did notice that they Now have a coffee shop in there as well. I went in the late afternoon, so I wasn’t able to try the Coffee because It was already closed, but I am excited to go back and try it. Their menu looks enticing. I will note that the inside of the bakery is a little rundown and is in need of a little remodel. However I am looking forward to going and trying the tamales and hoping that the are good

I have had a lot of tamales this year. Homemade...From home pick up, to cars and vans to roadside stands. 🤣 And these ones have been the best so far. The cheese and jalapeños. And the lady that helped us, was so nice. She was concerned because she said they had sat there for a while, inside the warmer. But, they were delicious! She even gave us 3 extra to say sorry hope u like them!!! (In the picture their tamale is in the back. I wanted to show the size difference. 2nd tamale picture, theirs are on the mostly white plate!)

First I want to start by saying this , we are not picking or bragging that we want our money back it’s not like that, these tameles they look uncooked I came here like 2 years ago I told my husband I didn’t want to come here any more because the tamales they look uncooked he was craving them so we came here yesterday 12/30/23 as soon as my husband brought them to me yesterday I saw them and you could still see the masa not being fully cooked. This is a picture of the tamal that I bought yesterday and broke down..people don’t come to this bakery if you’re looking for some good tamales RUN!!

I bought a dozen tamales and some had a decent amount of meat and others had no meat at all. The maza was good. The pork meat was good when the tamale actually had some. They weren’t dry. Very expensive it was $40 for 12. They all had a lot of maza. The Mexican bread was good.
